Would you like to join a team of experienced Insurance Account Executives working closely with our dedicated Account Directors generating new business opportunities? Our motivated team is looking to hire the newest member to join the dynamic office. If you have ambition and desire to belong to a successful, sales driven team then this could be you.

In this role, you will be responsible for generating new leads with managing agents; developing existing accounts growing their books of business and to achieve new business targets. You'll need to be driven, passionate and sales focussed whilst keeping our clients at the heart of your actions.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Can you grow income / book of business by following up and securing new business leads? This will be a crucial and integral element of your position
  • Do you have excellent time management skills? You'll be in full -control of your diary ensuring appointments are made with customers at the relevant time
  • Liaise intricately with Managing Agents and Brokers to ensure our offerings meet clients objectives.
  • Can you form business relations with all client decision makers? It's that extraordinary ability that makes you our guide
  • You will undertake visits with our Account Directors for new business meetings with clients. It's here that your social skills will need to shine.
  • Development objective of running your own sales meeting with clients to win new business sales
  • Prepare meeting notes from minutes and ensure any points are actioned by yourself within the Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines
  • Are you quick and efficient at learning new processes? This will be vital for us to execute our business objectives.
  • Manage own workload in order to effectively service the client relationship and ensure placements are completed within client deadlines
  • Identification of new business opportunities for existing Clients and recommendation provided by them
  • Comply with AJG Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements for the role with specific attention, but not limited to Handling Client information, Whistle Blowing and Treating Customers Fairly.

Person Specification:

  • Holding/working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualification: Dip CII/ Cert CII
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
  • Knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd’s and Industry) products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity
  • Demonstrable previous experience with evidence of effectively prioritising risks to handle concurrent workflow
  • Due diligence in administration and policy checks/processes
  • Strong knowledge of client market and insurance industry network
  • Worked to deadlines and able to anticipate change; able to quickly grasp and interpret salient information
  • Excellent client service focus; the customer will be your top priority
  • You ought to be able to identify potential risks and seek advice when required using due diligence and process driven to deadlines
  • Committing to travel/drive as part of your role visiting Clients, Prospects, Insurers & Suppliers will allow you to soar towards your goals
  • Generating and driving new business whilst remaining dedicated in customer-care
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and analytical skills
  • Actively deal with ambiguity and have exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • We would like you to take initiative and a positive approach when assisting your team members
  • Continually building your industry knowledge and seeking development
  • Eligible to work in the UK
