About the role


Gallagher is the only global broker in Australia that offers food production insurance as a specialism. Our team of industry specialists calls on the Gallagher legacy of 75+ years in servicing food production enterprises, which means that our clients range from boutique enterprises to household names. We help our clients manage and mitigate risks associated with each step of the supply chain.


Based in North Sydney, you will be responsible for driving business forward by proactively supporting senior brokers whilst maintaining a small book of Food Production clientele.

 
More specifically, you will be:


  • Maintaining strong relationships and trust with clients and insurers through proactive response to enquiries

  • Providing timely and accurate support on invoices, quotes, premium and adjustments calculations and managing the debtor process

  • Gathering client information to support renewal documentation, producing relevant reports and maintaining databases, information systems and company records 

  • Continually maintaining an awareness of the industry and our clients’ business and insurance needs

  • Developing an understanding of Gallagher capabilities including Gallagher insurance, financial services and premium funding products, and promote these Gallagher products and services when opportunities arise through contact with clients

  • Ensuring compliance of systems and processes with the Financial Services Reform Act and relevant legislation

  • Improving internal business processes, creating process and cost efficiencies


About you


To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: 


  • Experience working in a broking or broking support role, ideally with exposure to food production, manufacturing, supply chain or similar industry

  • Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification

  • A natural communicator with a client service focused mind

  • Experience in document preparation with a high attention to detail

  • Excellent organisational skills and efficiency, with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously. 

  • Driven by client servicing including front line client management
