Seeking a commercial Account Executive to join the Melbourne branch, to manage a portfolio of SME clients. 

 

What is the role?

We are currently seeking an Account Executive to join the commercial broking team within our thriving Melbourne branch. This is a great long term career opportunity with responsibility for managing your own book of business. The Gallagher team structure also offers ongoing mentoring by team leaders and senior brokers in the branch. 


Key accountabilities include:

  • Maintaining and developing business relationships with new and existing clients
  • Describing insurable risk, design appropriate insurance solutions and negotiate the best deal in the global insurance market
  • Developing and maintaining meaningful working relationships with our underwriting partners
  • Managing a budget, business plan and debtors 
  • Building a long term pipeline to support new business growth
  • Promote the Gallagher brand within the local business community


What are we looking for?

  • Strong account management experience gained within general commercial insurance
  • Tier 1 - Insurance Broking qualification
  • Pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery  
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
  • Driven and professional disposition with a willingness to contribute to a team environment
