The Role

At GB, one of our key responsibilities is to support individuals who have been injured, and assisting in their recovery, rehabilitation and returning to work opportunities. It requires care and compassion, and our Claims Officers are there every step of the way. They do this by supporting the individual’s recovery, liaising with employers and treating health practitioners, and positively influencing their recovery, rehabilitation.

In our Accident and Health team, our claims team works closely with our clients. This partnership helps employers reduce their insurance costs, and improve their business performance and safety record, whilst also supporting the return to work process.

Aside from the regular coaching and support from your manager and team, and ongoing interaction with the wider intern group. At the end of the six-week program, we hope you’ve gained valuable insight into the insurance industry and a possible career with GB.

What’s included?

  • Six-weeks paid work experience
  • Opportunity to apply your knowledge to challenging, meaningful work
  • Relevant training and an individualised development program where you will participate in activities such role shadowing, project work, and performing the specific duties of a Claims Officer
  • Regular coaching and support
  • A pathway to possible employment opportunities.
