The Gallagher Service Centre was established almost two decades ago and plays a key role in supporting various business divisions in Gallagher. We are present in five locations in India – Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur and Shimoga. Gallagher Re Mumbai – servicing team extends service support to multiple business units across various parts of the world. The team is formed under 3 main pillars – North America, International and Specialty (UK) regions.

Role: Trainee / Advisor / Sr.Advisor

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyse technical Proportional Treaty Client documentation / bordereaux/Claim documentation received from assigned clients, ensuring compliance with contractual conditions. Handle client queries in respect of the accounts as appropriate
  • Perform accurate authorising in accordance with the Payment Authorisation Manual wherever required
  • Work independently (or with the Account Manager / Client Service Advocate) to manage and resolve queries from Clients and Claims Adjusters / Reinsurers, seek assistance and ensure timely addressal of escalation, to effectively resolve issues with minimum delay
  • Understand the contractual obligation / condition and coverage of a placement
  • Support Placing team and Account Manager / Client Service Advocate by producing accurate and updated renewal information when requested

What we expect from you?

Experience: 0 to 3 years

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of Computers (Technical proficiency required)
  • Relevant Insurance / Reinsurance industry experience would be beneficial
  • Awareness of basic accounting fundamentals (debit/credit)

Skills:

  • Business Communication – Written & Verbal
  • Analytical skills (including but not limited to - Eye for detail, Interpretation of documents)
  • Basic Microsoft Office Skills (especially, MS Excel and MS Word)

Ability:

  • To prioritize and organize tasks with minimum assistance from others
  • Demonstrate a level of Logical Thinking
  • Easily coachable
