Your Role

The role of Project Manager is to support and enable the successful execution of client prioritised and internal initiatives.  Working under the direction of the Manager, Transformation & Business Performance, you will be a key liaison with our client for incremental process improvement through to longer term transformational programs.

You will discuss new scheme initiatives with our client, working with operation leaders to understand the scope and work required to successfully deliver the initiatives.  You will maintain project plans and tracking deliverable for any ongoing initiatives and keeping our client and internal stakeholder briefed on their progress.  Capturing what benefit has been delivered in terms of claim outcomes, or reduction of effort will be your measure of success once a program or initiative is completed.


You will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following:

  • Represent GB at Return to Work SA forums, acting as the main point of contact for project deliverables
  • Working with the Operational leadership to support change in initiatives, appropriately challenging decisions and risks to outcomes of project deliverables
  • Scope initial deliverables of project with our client and align this with internal Gallagher Bassett staff; management, through frontline
  • Analyse past trends, data, and qualitative feedback to develop improvements to client and internal programs and workflows to deliver incremental value into the business
  • Present project plans, progress, analysis and outcomes succinctly and transparently at General Manager and Chief Operating Office level and be comfortable altering our plan to reach revised timelines or goals.
  • Deliver plans in collaboration with the Manager Transformation & Business Performance, business subject matter experts, operational leaders, and any other key staff

We’re interested in hearing from people who possess:

  • Experienced with Project and Change Management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client and internal relationships
  • Excellent planning, prioritisation and analytical ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of workers compensation industry business and administrative practices, policies, procedures and guidelines is desirable
  • Previous experience delivering operational or incremental systems of work improvement initiatives using Agile, Prince2, CAPM, PMP or similar principles is desirable along with business related tertiary qualifications.
