The position
Currently we are seeking a Bid & Tender Manager to join our continually growing business.  This is a full time role that can be based in either Brisbane, Melbourne, or Adelaide and will require occasional interstate travel.
The Bid & Tender Manager will lead bid processes from end to end, and be responsible for coordinating the delivery of major bids including project coordination, content development, document design and production, team coordination and presentation support. A tender and pitch expert, you will have a strategic and hands-on approach to take ownership of all tender requests and pitches and deliver a seamless tender service for Gallagher Bassett.

You will: 

  • Be “hands on” and highly proficient in document design
  • Develop and manage bid project plans, ensuring all key milestones are met
  • Come from the Finance and Government industry as this is a particularly important aspect of the role
  • Have the expertise to provide guidance and advice on how to obtain new opportunities such as unsolicited government proposals, developing pricing strategies for new markets, pitching products where opportunities may be lacking
  • Have the proven track record to manage the tender process cradle to grave, including research to identify opportunities and supporting presentations
What we are looking for:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a bid management role (preferably in the professional services industry)
  • Experience in managing successful bid teams and overseeing tender processes
  • Excellent bid and proposal writing skills
  • Highly effective communication style (both written and verbal), with strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills across all levels
  • Strong business acumen, analysis and problem solving skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities, improvements and solutions to meet business needs
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong Microsoft computer skills
