Gallagher Bassett are seeking an Administration Assistant to join our Administration Hub supporting the UK Business. Under the direction of the Administration Team Leader or designate, the role will encompass administrative duties within Gallagher Bassett.


The role will be based in either the Ipswich or Leeds Office, and will work core hours Monday – Friday 09.00 – 16.00pm. The successful applicant will have excellent data entry skills, attention to detail, accuracy and effective organisational skills.  


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Record claims accurately using company software (Risxfacs) within product standards
  • Acknowledge claims to clients
  • Issue standard letters as directed
  • Filing of claims folders
  • Open and sort incoming mail
  • Prepare and frank outgoing mail
  • Assist in diary process
  • Complete and submit paperwork and correspondence accurately
  • Answer and distribute incoming phone calls
  • Close claims using company software (Risxfacs) as directed
  • Retrieve closed claims from storage as directed
  • Assist in general office administration (e.g. post, printing, order supplies, maintaining equipment) to ensure smooth running of office
  • Carry out all duties in line with FCA regulations
  • Comply with all Gallagher Bassett and office procedures
  • Any other duties as required by Gallagher Bassett
