The position


We are currently seeking a Team Leader to join our VMO/PMF team located in Sydney CBD.


This role will see you provide day-to-day management and technical support to your team ensuring the delivery of a cost effective, professional and customer focused claims service, while developing staff and implementing quality initiatives. There will be a significant focus on leadership, customer service and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide leadership and direction and Manage the day to day operations of the VMO Insurance team

  • Assess present and future needs, trends, problems for your business unit

  • Review staff performance and provide training and coaching where required  

  • Build and develop strong working relationships with our Clients

  • Prepare management reports
  • Act as the escalation point for a portfolio of technical claims



What we are looking for:
  • Demonstrated experience of leading and managing an Insurance Claims Team

  • Exposure to health liability/ medical negligence Insurance field is mandatory

  • Proven experience in relationship building
  • High level of interpersonal and communications skills

  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong knowledge of the Financial Drivers for the company

  • Proven experience in achieving business targets
  • Negotiation skills
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
