The position


We are currently seeking 2 Claims Consultants, to join our new office in Brisbane CBD.

The roles are full time, Monday to Friday with flexible shifts between 7am – 7pm to suit your work / life balance requirements.

The role

This is a challenging but fulfilling role handling property claims.  You will need to make key decisions on claims, answer inbound phone enquiries, make outbound calls to inform customers on the progression of their insurance claim and keep accurate records; your duties will include but not be limited to:

  •  New claim reviews and claim pathway decisions
  • Coordinate claim assessments through third party network
  • Manage claims through to finalisation inclusive of any investigations, assessments and negotiations on an individual claim basis
  • Determine the correct settlement for each claim based on key information received
  • Liaising with internal and external parties throughout the assessment of the claim
  • Working to achieve set key performance indicators

What we are looking for

To be successful in this role you will have a genuine interest in helping people, and have the confidence to make decisions in line with company policy and relevant legislation.  Key skills you will bring to the role are:

  • Previous claims experience is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to build rapport
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • PC literate – Database and Microsoft Office
  • Resilience and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Team players
