Claims Consultant – Home Builders Warranty

The position
 
Due to continued growth we are currently seeking an experienced Claims Consultant with Property and/or Builders Home Warranty experience to join our corporate office located in Sydney CBD.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 
Providing a cost effective, professional and customer focused claims service for HBCF claimants. This will include the processing, reviewing and settlement of claims both new and in progress. In addition, this role will include payment management, stakeholder liaison, data input, record management and generation of suggestions for continuous improvement whilst meeting icare and Gallagher Bassett’s service standards.
 
Key Responsbilities
  • Manage and settle HBCF claims end  to end with adherence to HBCF service standards, company guidelines, delegated authority and SLA’s
  • Dealing with multiple stakeholders including home owners, technical specialists, builders, building consultants and icare HBCF
  • Responsible for administration of the tender process and ensure timely action on supplier scopes
  • Manage complaints and negotiating resolution within delegated authority
What we are looking for:
  • Minimum five (3) years claims experience (Property, Commercial and/or Builders Warranty claims)
  • Ability to interpret policy wordings and apply accurately
  • Ability to build and develop business relationships with client/s
  • Comply with relevant state legislation
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Lead by example, adopting best estimating practices and processes that can be implemented across the team
