The position
 
Due to continued growth we are currently seeking a Long-Tail Branch Manager to join our team in our brand-new corporate office located in the heart of the Sydney CBD
 
The Long-Tail Claims Manager is accountable for delivery of claims services, acting as an internal and external reference point for stakeholders and ensuring remedial actions are developed and implemented to maintain and exceed GB’s performance under the contract.
  
Key Activities:
  • Monitoring GB’s achievement of the Service Standards, Client Objectives and Contractual Performance measures, in accordance with the Contract.
  • Guide, advise and assist Long-tail leadership and staff who require assistance and expertise.
  • Identify skill gaps, create and deliver refresher training to address key areas and upskill staff and succession planning.
  • Act as an escalated reference point as required
  • Facilitate the refinement, maintenance and regular up-dating of Promapp Process and Claims Manual where required.
  • Ensure agreed processes are documented and adhered too by the short-tail business unit.
  • Identify remedial actions from quality reviews and audits and implement appropriate remedial action with Team Leaders.
  • Work closely with L&D re the facilitation of induction, claim competencies and refresher training programs
  • Ensure there is a focus on building and maintaining client relationships both individually and within your team environment.
  • Participate in organic client growth and feedback opportunities to our Client Services Team.
What we are looking for:
  • Minimum 7 years Insurance Claims experience, including 3 years’ experience of managing a Claims team directly.
  • Ability to build and develop relationships         
  • Insurance policy interpretation skills
  • Stakeholder management
  • Strong level of Leadership skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Ability and desire to work as part of a team
