Raising Inclusion and Diversity Awareness at Gallagher

CEO Pledge: Gallagher CEO Pat Gallagher signed the CEO ACT!ON for Diversity & Inclusion Pledge, signifying Gallagher’s commitment to a more inclusive and diverse organization. 

INCLUDE Campaign: Gallagher launched a set of inclusive behaviors (INCLUDE), along with an internal campaign outlining guidelines for how employees should treat one another, working to create a more inclusive workplace.

Celebrate Inclusion Campaign and Resources: Gallagher launched an internal communications campaign highlighting key inclusive calendar dates for recognition, informing employees how and why we celebrate / remember, and spotlighting diverse Gallagher employees for whom those dates are important.  

Teaming Up with the Special Olympics

We have partnered with Special Olympics to empower athletes to lead with integrity, dream big and face their future with confidence.

"That mission is closely aligned with The Gallagher Way tenets of supporting, believing, acknowledging and respecting the abilities of one another. We are continuing to put those values into action by partnering with Special Olympics to empower athletes around the world."

Building Meaningful Inclusion and Diversity Partnerships

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center: Partnered with the National Underground Railroad Freedom center for our second year by sponsoring two of the Center's educational programs running throughout the year: 
- Schooled on Freedom: Bringing students and teachers from low-income, marginalized schools for a free tour of the Center and providing pre- and post- visit educational resources 
- Lifting as We Climb: Honoring the 100-year anniversary of the nineteenth amendment giving women the right to vote in America. A variety of conversations and film screenings will discuss how women have triumphed and influenced our shared global history, and what work is still left to do.

Girl Up: For a second year, we will be partnering with the United Nations' Girl Up Program - a movement to empower and instill confidence in young female leaders. We are honored to host a breakout session with 50-100 of those girls.

Unleashing Local Grassroots Efforts

Gallagher is building an inclusive environment through creation of culture champions who at a grass root level are building awareness, celebrating diversity and are furthering an inclusive environment where all can thrive. This includes outreach and community connections to partner with our communities.

Building Our Early Talent Pipeline

Gallagher is taking action to drive increased early talent recruitment through goal setting, targeting diverse universities and augmenting our diversity intern recruitment process.

This includes creation of an Early Talent Acquisition taskforce to finalize and foster additional relationships with key D&I national programs.
