Your knowledge, Experience and Skills:

 
  • Are you working towards or do you currently hold a CII/ Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) qualification? Are you educated to A-Level standard or equivalent?

  • You will possess a good knowledge of general insurance and underlying legal principles and practices, especially London Market / Lloyd’s and Industry databases.

  • Understand the risk exposure and able to determine the acceptance criteria and risk classifications for risks in a range of complex or unfamiliar situations

  • Do you have a deep understanding of the methods of rating as applied to our products including the principal of claims triangulations?

  • Have experience of quoting and adjusting Commercial Combined business via the Acturis platform.

  • Can you effectively use systems technology required to transact business?

  • Knowledge and understanding of underwriting experience in servicing accounts, the use of technical knowledge to handle claim queries ensuring a connected service

  • Ability to extract and piece together required learning from a range of different opportunities and sources

  • Experience of planning, prioritising and identifying new business opportunities

  • Effective communication skills with colleagues during account cycles

  • Attention and accuracy to detail in data entry and presenting data

  • Takes accountability of managing risk and safe-guards own role remit

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues, good level of numeracy and literacy coupled with excellent attention to detail

  • Analytical problem solving approach with initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude

  • An empathetic, self-motivated team player who takes ownership and accountability

  • Eligible to work in the UK
