Position Summary:
Ensures a comprehensive Human Resource service is provided for multiple locations. This position is a central contact for senior leaders regarding HR operational issues, employee relations, organizational change, and performance management. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the effectiveness of HR practices and policies and will seek opportunities to improve programs and provide recommendations to increase employee productivity and commitment. The role is responsible for reviewing and identifying employee relations trends and reports, and advising management and HR partners on trend analysis including options for action planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supporting a major business unit on general HR issues such as compensation, recruitment, relocation, diversity, training and organizational development, either in conjunction with specialist HR teams or directly in smaller organizations

Implementing a talent management strategy for the region (talent pipelines, development plans, succession plans, workforce planning, etc.)

Planning, communicating and administering policies relating to all phases of human resources activity for the region, in alignment with Artex Global and Gallagher as appropriate

Supporting compliance with applicable labor laws and making appropriate policy and procedural recommendations

Providing HR guidance when appropriate

Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues

Conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations

Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day engagement of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Developing solutions based on subject expertise and occasionally represents the department or function at a broader level.

Identifying legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

Administering benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance (where applicable).

Maintaining records of benefits plan participation such as insurance and pension plan, and human resources transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting (where appropriate).

Managing other operational and administrative matters, including but not limited to: onboarding assistance, recruiting requisitions, drafting of offer letters, providing support on payroll matters, and coordinating with the Talent Acquisition team on recruiting matters.

May manage lower level staff.
Qualifications - External
Required:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development or related field.

7 or more years relevant experience
Desired:

Master's degree preferred.
