About the Role
Reporting to the Claims Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the management of claims that clients are ‘self-funding’. Working with clients on the best way to deal with these claims you will need to be able to deal with individual matters whilst always considering the impact to the overall claims portfolio. 

About You
To be successful in this role, we are seeking a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar claims handling role.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Advising clients, brokers and account management staff on all claims matters 
  • Liaise with Clients and insurance on daily enquiries 
  • Claims Assessment – interpret policy wording and review of circumstances 
  • Progress Claims – authorising repairs and claims payment 
  • Asses and investigate non straightforward claims 
  • Negotiations with clients on information on non-straightforward claims 
  • Produce and follow up on claims correspondence and client claims reports 
  • Liaise with Claims Manager in providing clients, brokers with structured solutions to their claims management issues 
  • Review complex claims cases, assess service provided and acceptability of estimates 
  • Assisting other staff on claims 
  • General administration as required 

This is a great opportunity and to be considered, we are seeking a professional in a similar role, ideally with exposure to the Insurance Brokers or Financial Services industry plus:

  • Complex liability claims management experience (ideally exposure to ‘worker to worker’ claims and ‘trip and slip’ matters )
  • Client servicing experience including front line client facing interactions
  • An understanding of business acumen and the connection with claims and a client’s exposure to risk  
  • Knowledge of insurance products and markets for commercial / SME / corporate industry segments
  • Demonstrates strong client advocacy skills/experience
  • Desire to be part of a new product and service and the challenges this presents over an established offering
