New, busy, part time legal focused role within our claims team in North Sydney. Manage a portfolio of legal disputes and assist with the development of our risk and compliance framework. 

What is the role?
Reporting to the Technical Claims Manager, this new, varied and busy part time role will see you provide commercially focused, practical legal and compliance advice to our business. 

The role will see you responsible for the management of individual legal cases, and advising on a range of operational issues. In addition, you will assist with the management of complaints and disputes management program for our business.

The role can be performed over either 2 or 3 days per week and we are open to flexible working arrangements. 
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, we are seeking either a qualified lawyer (minimum 2 years PQE preferred) or someone with a strong legal background who can provide commercially focused legal support to our business. 

More specifically, you will have:

  • Experience in the management of financial lines Claims 
  • Effective communication skills, experience with drafting submissions, contractual agreements and internal reporting 
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive reporting skills 
  • An understanding of insurance products with a particular focus on professional indemnity (preferred) 
  • Experience in operational compliance in the Insurance Broking industry (highly advantageous)
