About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Client Manager to join our specialist financial lines practice. Based in our North Sydney office, you will be responsible for driving the business forward by generating new opportunities as well as the day-to-day management of the current client portfolio. Within our practice, we service a range of financial institutions and professions clients. These can be small to medium enterprises as well as large ASX listed accounts, within the private equity, financial institutions, legal and other corporate sectors.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building meaningful relationships and trust with clients, handling accounts both smoothly and professionally
Providing excellent client service through a pro-active approach to account management and service delivery and ensuring clients are actively involved with the organisation’s subject matter experts, insurance products, services and solutions.
Negotiating with underwriters to ensure a robust and comprehensive insurance solution is arranged for each client
New business initiatives through marketing, existing book growth and pipeline targets
Attend industry events, client and insurer functions
Involves placement broking as well as client servicing- lead negotiations with senior underwriters and insurance executives as it relates to placement strategies
Lead the preparation of/and underwriting presentations on behalf of clients
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Solid prior experience as a successful broker, underwriter or claims specialist
Thorough technical knowledge of corporate financial lines insurance programs including a clear understanding of insurance dynamics locally & internationally
Ambitious and driven, with good eye for business and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
Excellent relationship building and management skills across a varied client portfolio
Highly developed written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong negotiation, influencing, time management, mentoring and organisational skills
A passion for what you do – looking to always stay informed of industry trends
