Reporting to the Claims Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the management of claims that clients are ‘self-funding’. Working with clients on the best way to deal with these claims, this is a great opportunity to learn the foundations of claims management. We will teach you how to handle transport, property and liability claims setting you up for a career in insurance claims. 

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally have had some exposure to insurance - maybe in an insurance ‘call centre’ but you are keen and ready to take your next step.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Advising clients, brokers and account management staff on claims matters
  • Liaise with Clients on daily enquiries
  • Claims Assessment – interpret policy wording and review of circumstances
  • Progress Claims – authorising repairs and claims payment
  • Assess and investigate straightforward claims
  • A desire to learn how to manage non-straightforward claims
  • Produce and follow up on claims correspondence and client claims reports
  • Liaise with Claims Manager in providing clients, brokers with structured solutions to their claims management issues
  • Assisting other staff on claims
  • General administration as required

This is a great opportunity and to be considered, we are seeking someone ideally with exposure to the Insurance Brokers or Financial Services industry plus:

  • You learn quickly and are always curious to build your knowledge
  • Ideally you have started or completed some insurance qualifications
  • You may have had some insurance claims exposure (eg. Claims lodgement) 
  • You have a desire to learn about different industries so you can help clients with claims  
  • Client servicing experience – you may have had some front line client facing interactions or this is something you want to learn 
  • Desire to be part of a new product and service and the challenges this presents over an established offering
