What is the role?
A rare opportunity exists for an experienced legal practitioner or accountant to join our Financial Lines broking team within our thriving Perth office. This is a great long-term career opportunity to apply your technical expertise to a growing portfolio of specialist and high profile global clients.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Maintaining strong relationships and trust with an existing portfolio of clients, based on demonstrated ability to manage accounts both smoothly and professionally
  • Have a strong business development approach towards business development to assist with continued growth in the sector
  • Ensuring client needs are identified and met by taking a proactive approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients
  • Design, implement and manage appropriate insurance solutions including developing solutions to exposures in multiple jurisdictions
  • Developing and maintaining meaningful working relationships with our underwriting partners 
  • Develop and train Account Executives, and act as a positive role model in the business
  • Support Gallagher people management strategies by actively supporting staff in the team so as to maximize their contribution to Gallagher and its business objectives while maintaining their job satisfaction and personal development
  • Apply best business practice – ethically, professionally and with integrity in all circumstances so that Gallagher reputation and brand is never undermined 
About You
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong legal or accounting background looking to move into a relationship management and negotiation role
  • Drive, ambition and initiative skills
  • Pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery  
  • Well organized to manage a diverse and busy workload.
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience in document preparation with a high attention to detail
  • A team player with good organisation skills and ability to balance multiple priorities when required
