Gallagher's Graphics Department is a corporate resource providing graphic support to most Gallagher divisions and branches.
Position Summary:
The Interactive/UX Graphic Designer provides support for all Gallagher divisions. The candidate should have proven experience in concept development, layout, design, and typography in digital applications, including designs for web user interfaces. The candidate will be responsible for developing concepts and materials across the spectrum of media with a focus on web and interactive design. Experience should also include creation of high-end illustrations, animations and video production/editing. Strong organizational and project management skills, coupled with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment are required. Experience with print design a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create messaging strategy which integrates with the company's business goals, product introductions, promotions and sales, in alignment with brand standards
  • Develop and design User Interface for web applications, in alignment with brand standards
  • Creatively take a sketch or idea and bring it to life through an array of digital materials, including the preparation of electronic files for a variety of final media
  • Design emails and newsletter campaigns aligned with email best-practices, with the ability to both create the design and code the back-end HTML
  • Design marketing pieces, such as online advertising, email templates, website graphics, product graphics, mobile icons, motion graphics, etc.
  • Edit Videos for digital publishing
  • Manage and maintain consistency of branding and overall design
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the corporate graphics department to coordinate timely execution of digital and print marketing materials
  • Other: Design marketing pieces, such as print brochures, promotional flyers, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
    Qualifications
    Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent education and interactive graphic design work experience in a corporate environment
    • 3-5 years graphic design experience, preferably in professional setting with a focus on B2B content
    • Experience designing user interfaces for interactive web content
    • Excellent portfolio demonstrating creative abilities (applicants without portfolios will not be considered. Please include the website address of your electronic portfolio as part of your application for this position.)
    • Familiarity with digital file formats to provide graphics to support web and electronic communications
    • The ability to effectively present ideas, both verbally and visually
    • Ability to effectively illustrate info graphics from raw data
    • Web design skills (Dreamweaver, HTML5, CSS)
    • Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Premiere, After Effects)
    • Experience creating content for SilverPop or a similar tool. Previous experience managing interactive communication campaigns
    • Other: Javascript, InDesign
